Aprilann is enjoying great chart success with remixes of her single "Crown and the Girls" rising quickly to the top of the dance and crossover charts. The Florida native, now living in NYC, is working on her debut EP, to be released in early 2018. It includes songs showcasing her strong songwriting ability and reflects her various musical influences:pop, dance and alternative. Whether performing an acoustic set with her guitar or accompanied by a band, Aprilann captivates the crowd with her energy, honesty and vocal prowress.
Aprilann is preparing for several club dates this fall followed by a national tour in 2018 in support of her EP's release.
You may not think of singing, acting, and songwriting as the primary talents of thrill seekers. Think again. Manhattan resident Aprilann has proven that an inquisitive mind, fearless attitude, and authentic love of life are the perfect mix to fuel her passion for songwriting and performing.
Aprilann has several songs on iTunes and her latest release Crown and the Girls, written by Aprilann and produced by acclaimed New York producer Artie Skye of Skyelabs, was released earlier this year. It tells the ageless story of heartbreak and the difficulty of letting go. She recently completed the remix for Crown and the Girls, along with a performance lyric video, and both will be released in April. Aprilann is currently in the studio working on her debut EP set for release later this year.
Armed with a recent degree in acting from the New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts, Aprilann has converted her endless auditions and hard work into a featured acting role as “Karen” in the upcoming horror flick “Johnny Gruesome” (based on the wildly popular novel of the same name by writer/director Gregory Lamberson) which is slated for a fall 2017 release. Mr. Lamberson, a quick fan of her songs, put one of her early releases “Not You” on the soundtrack for the film (find it on your favorite music app). Her countless Florida singing engagements at local clubs and bars gave her the confidence to knock the socks off of the energized crowd at the famous 12th and Porter in Nashville this past January. The packed house rocked and danced to Aprilann’s music along with her friend and Curb Records’ rising artist Larry Gordon.
Any time Aprilann isn’t travelling, clubbing, or soul cycling, she is plucking away at her guitar, writing new songs to perform and record, and hoofing around NYC (ok, the occasional Uber) to wow casting directors. Amid her budding music and acting careers, she gains followers by cultivating friendships with her easy smile, wicked sense of humor, and limitless desire to hang with her posse. Facetime is key since her friends and close relatives are scattered around the 50 states. If Aprilann is coming to visit, stock up on avocados (her favorite), make the sushi reservations, gas up the jet ski, and point her to the nearest concert venue.
Born and raised in Florida, Aprilann loves the beach and the music accompaniment to her occasional lazy visits to the ocean sand always include Taylor Swift (her inspiration), as well as Selena Gomez, Maroon 5, Miley Cyrus, Zara Larsson, Rihanna, Colbie Caillat, and The Chainsmokers. Her hidden talents include basketball (there’s no dust on her Florida State Championship trophy) ping pong, and juggling. Despite her toughness and ambition, Aprilann is a softy and nothing surpasses her love of dogs (and alligators, she is from Florida after all), and loyalty to family.
