Thank you for inquiring about Starfleet Music Pool & a possible membership. My name is Ronnie Matthews. I am the owner & director of Starfleet Music Pool. We have been in existence since 1990. I personally have worked for over 36 years in this business to acquire the level of respect and acceptance that we enjoy within the music industry. This is one of the best opportunities that you will get to better yourself as a DJ. That is if you really want to be a professional DJ! This is also an excellent way to break further into the music industry. You never know who you will meet & speak with once you’re in! We service everything from Hip Hop, Urban, Reggae, Crossover, Reggaeton, House all the way up to Euro Dance music on Vinyl, CD, and MP3 formats. Members wanting FULL VIP Membership must be located in the USA & or Canada, due to the shipping cost. However, if you are outside of that area & want to pay the shipping cost, we'll allow you to be serviced. Digital Members must be on Planet Earth to be able to be serviced due to Interstellar Digital laws. (Hey, just kidding, we'll service you anywhere in our solar system.) Bottom line, we service working DJ’s throughout the world now. Also, DJs in the Armed Forces stationed around the world, too. We offer 2 types of VIP Memberships, Full or Digital only. 1. Full VIP Membership - will give those members access to the maximum amount of music being serviced us on all formats, vinyl, CD & digital MP3. BELOW IS AN OUTLINE OF THE TERMS & CONDITIONS THAT YOU WILL NEED TO KNOW & ABIDE BY TO BE ABLE TO JOIN & STAY A MEMBER OF STARFLEET MUSIC POOL. Check out the new membership pricing. 1) ENTRY FEE: Full VIP Membership - A 1 time entry fee of $125.00. That fee covers the month's dues that you join & an application fee. You will receive a starting inventory of music that we've been working over the past several months. On hard copies you're receive up to 5 months worth of music, on digital you'll receive up to 6 months worth of music. If you are not local, then you will be responsible for your shipping charges, too. We'll go over the shipping & handling charges if they apply. Digital VIP Membership - A 1 time entry fee of $100. That fee covers the month's dues that you join & an application fee. You will receive a starting inventory of the Digital music that we've been working over the past 6 to 7 months. (That's right, 6 to 7 months worth of digital music which equates to over 6000 mp3s, OVER!) *if you should decide that you don't want
access to the past 6 to 7 months worth of music, which could be as much
as 6000+ mp3s, then we do give you the option to start with the month
you join, which means you will NOT have to pay the $100 1 time entry
fee, but you'll be missing out on a ton of music*
2) MONTHLY DUES: Full VIP Membership - Monthly dues of $80.00 per month are due BY the 1st of each month. That means THE FIRST DAY OF THE MONTH; May 1st, June 1st, July 1st and so on. For as little as $20 per week you'll have access to vinyl, CDs & a minimum of 200 mp3s, WEEKLY. (Shipping & handling charges apply if not local) Digital VIP Membership - Monthly dues of $30.00 per month are due BY the 1st of each month. That means THE FIRST DAY OF THE MONTH; May 1st, June 1st, July 1st and so on. For as little as $7.50 per week you'll have access to a minimum of 200 mp3s, WEEKLY.
3) SEMI ANNUAL DUES - PAY FOR 6 MONTHS: Full VIP Membership - Semi annual dues of $420.00 which equals out to $70 per month, a savings of $60 over 6 months from the monthly dues. For as little as $16.15 per week you'll have access to vinyl, CDs & a minimum of 200 mp3s, WEEKLY. (Shipping & handling charges apply if not local) Digital VIP Membership - Semi annual dues of $150.00 which equals out to $25 per month, a savings of $30 over 6 months from the monthly dues. For as little as $5.77 per week you'll have access to a minimum of 200 mp3s, WEEKLY.
4) ANNUAL DUES - PAY FOR 12 MONTHS: Full VIP Membership - Annual dues of $780.00 which equals out to $65 per month, a savings of $180 over 12 months from the monthly dues. For as little as $15.00 per week you'll have access to vinyl, CDs & a minimum of 200 mp3s, WEEKLY. (Shipping & handling charges apply if not local) Digital VIP Membership - Annual dues of $240.00 which equals out to $20 per month, a savings of $120 over 6 months from the monthly dues. For as little as $4.62 per week you'll have access to a minimum of 200 mp3s, WEEKLY. We’ve been working CDs & vinyl records for more than 20 years now. We've been working MP3s for over 10 years. As a digital music pool we offer over 800 digital downloads to the VIP Members of our record pool community and exclusive remixes too, monthly. When we say over 800 we mean it. Bottomline, we loaded 10,133 mp3s for our DJs to download in 2009!
5) LATE FEES: For dues received the after the 5th of the month there is a $25.00 late fee. For dues received after the 10th of the month the late fee is $50.00. (Bottom line, pay on time & you won't have to deal with these fees) We accept CASH from local members, MONEY ORDERS, CERTIFIED CHECKS, CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS, bank transfers & PayPal payments, which can be handled through our website. When making payments through PayPal or through our site, there is a $2 to $8 transaction fee, from PayPal, that should be included with your payment.
*Notice that CHECKS were not listed as an accepted method of payment* Out of Town Full Membership DJ’s: With your startup fee you should include an average of a $40 shipping credit, but to be sure contact me & we'll go over the details. That will help cover the costs of your initial shipments, which will be LARGE. From there we’ll determine what your average monthly shipping cost will be.
6) PAPERWORK: Our “Paperwork” consists of a weekly play-lists and feedback for the music you've been serviced & or downloaded. Paperwork can either be sent in electronically as an attachment to an E-mail, snail mailed or in physical form (locals only please). *Play-Lists: are required by ALL members EVERY week. They are due by Wednesday at 12 midnight. This is a very, very important part of our program & to the labels that service us. *Feedback: is due in a timely manner, the record labels count on this information to plan their promotion campaigns. Also, feedback can include posting reviews on our website. It's a very simple process. You can do one liners or full blown articles. You'd be surprised at who & how many people read them. 7) MEETINGS & OR CONFERENCE CALLS: Starfleet Music Pool has annual pool meetings where we'd like for you to attend, if at all possible. I understand that many of our members are from other countries, so it's not mandatory to attend, however if you can, it will be appreciated. We also do conference calls, from time to time, which we'd like for all of our members to be on, which is not mandatory. Both of these settings are great opportunities to cover important information and updates so that we can keep Starfleet DJs working together & to network and talk to some of the best in the in industry.
8) INFORMATION: Up-to-date information is expected from our members. Email addresses, Phone numbers, Addresses, and most importantly any changes in where you are spinning (i.e. clubs, radio stations, etc.). Any of you who aren’t up to date with technology are really missing out on vital info. We pass a lot of information back and forth through emails so it is important to have and use on a regular basis. *Please keep in mind that your feedback & a weekly playlist is very important to the labels that service us, so please send it on time. There are no refunds! Starfleet Music Pool and other Professional Record Pools are an important promotional part of the Music Industry. Please don’t waste our time if you're not serious about your music & being a Professional DJ.
