Chocolate Steele is an independent R&B Soul Singer/Songwriter who was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Chocolate has performed at The Cutting Room NYC, played shows at WNTI Stage Festival, Silvana, Shrine Music World Venue, and “Da Russ and Stew Show” to name a few. Chocolate Steele’s voice is smooth and sensual while her music has a bounce that you can dance to and enjoy. Chocolate Steele loves writing songs, reaching out to people with her music, and touching them with her songs. Chocolate Steele started singing when she was 4 years old, following the footsteps of her mother and her aunt; as they have sang all of their lives. Chocolate Steele has been in the music business since 2011, and says that “it has definitely been an upward struggle.” “It takes talent, a lot of hard work , and networking to achieve success.“ Chocolate Steele says that “She is more than willing to put in the work that it takes to get to the top.”
Advice that Chocolate Steele would offer to friends and family on following your dreams would be to “Never give up, be true to yourself, and never compromise your values for anything.” “You are good enough as you are do not need to be something that you are not in order to accomplish your goals; so be yourself.”

Chocolate Steele is not only passionate about her music. She is also a NYC Public High School Teacher. She loves teaching students about academics and incorporating real life experiences to make it relevant to their lives. Chocolate Steele has a Bachelors degree in Community Health, a Masters degree in Education as well as a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling.
